How do I know if I need Behavioral Health Services?

Everyone's experience is different, but it's important to know that mental health issues are manageable — and support is available. If your behavior is causing your physical health to suffer and you can't make positive long-lasting changes on your own, it's time to get help. Excessive eating, drinking, drug use, and smoking are just a few examples of behaviors that can lead to serious physical problems such as addiction, diabetes or cardiac conditions. The way you feel, think, act and react can also have a tremendous physical impact on your life. Depression and anxiety can lead to sleeplessness, high cholesterol levels, increased risk of stroke or heart attack, and other major health concerns, even self-injury or suicide.

If you are experiencing a behavioral health crisis, call our Nurse Advice Line at 1-800-704-1484. They are available 24/7, FREE and provide bilingual help. If you are thinking about suicide, hurting yourself, or someone else, call 9-8-8. You Are Important! If you are in crisis, or you know someone who is, contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline or dial 911 in case of emergency.
